Starting the Puppy Buying Process
We are excited to help you welcome a new Golden Retriever into your family. Here is how our process works:
Step 1: Puppy Application
All potential puppy parents are required to complete and submit our puppy application for approval. Please allow at least 24 hours for review, although it may take longer depending on our current workload. Submitting an application does not guarantee a reservation.
Step 2: Deposit
Once your application is approved, a $300 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on our reservation list. This deposit is applied toward the total purchase price of your puppy.
If puppies are currently available, your deposit confirms your commitment to move forward.
If no puppies are available, you will be added to our waitlist and contacted in the order deposits are received when future litters arrive.
Updates
Updates
Once a litter is born, you will receive weekly updates by email. We also post photos and videos on our Facebook page so you can follow along and watch your puppy grow.

Selecting Your Puppy
When puppies are between 6.5 and 8 weeks old, we will contact you to schedule your selection appointment based on the order in which deposits were received.
Puppy selection can take place in person, via FaceTime, or through photos and videos. You will receive a confirmed date and time for your appointment. Each family is allotted one hour to meet and choose their puppy.
We are happy to assist you during the selection process by providing insight into each puppy’s personality and traits to help ensure the best match for your home and lifestyle.

Puppies are ready to go to their forever homes between 7.5 and 8 weeks of age. Full payment is required at the time of pick-up.

We reserve the right to retain a puppy from any litter.
No visitors are permitted until the puppies have received their first vaccinations and a full veterinary examination.
LMU Goldens reserves the right to refund your deposit if we determine that a puppy is not the right fit for your home.

Decisions regarding refunds, when applicable, will be made with compassion and fairness, based on the individual situation.

At LMU Goldens, your puppy’s safety is incredibly important to me. That is why each puppy goes home with a Fi Nano microchip, a permanent form of identification designed to keep them protected for life.
What the Microchip Provides:
Secure and Easy Identification: If your puppy is ever lost or separated from you, their microchip allows shelters or vets to scan and contact you quickly so they can be returned home safely.
Lifetime Emergency Contact: I remain listed as an emergency contact on your puppy’s microchip for life. This gives you added peace of mind knowing that I will always be available to help if your Golden ever needs assistance.

Making sure my Golden Retrievers are healthy and thriving begins with high-quality veterinary care. Every puppy and adult dog in my program receives consistent, thorough medical attention to support their lifelong well-being.
Preventative Health Care for Puppies:
🩺 Thorough Health Screenings – Each puppy is carefully examined by a licensed veterinarian to ensure they are in excellent health before going to their new home.
💉 Core Vaccinations – Puppies receive all age-appropriate vaccines based on veterinary guidance to protect against distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus, and rabies.
🦠 Fecal Testing and Deworming – I follow a complete deworming protocol and conduct fecal testing to keep puppies free from intestinal parasites.
