No Planned Litters for 2026
Long before LMU Goldens became a name or a program, there was simply a home where animals were part of everyday life. Dogs were never just pets in our family, they were companions, teachers, and quiet guardians of the moments that make a house feel like home.
Growing up surrounded by animals shaped the way I see the world. Their presence brought comfort, responsibility, and a deep respect for the bond between people and the animals who share their lives.
Over time, that connection grew into something more intentional. What began as a love for dogs slowly became a commitment to understanding them, how they think, how they grow, and how the right start in life can shape the dog they become.
LMU Goldens grew from that foundation: a love for animals, a respect for the Golden Retriever, and a desire to raise dogs in a home where they are truly known.
Dogs have always been woven into my family’s story. My grandfather raised and bred Doberman Pinschers, and my pappy devoted himself to raising Lhasa Apsos. Their dedication to their dogs left a lasting impression on me from an early age.
My mother and her friends who were deeply involved in the world of dogs, breeding, showing, and caring for their lines with pride. Through their conversations and experiences, I began to see the responsibility that comes with raising and preserving a breed.
Those early influences quietly shaped my understanding of what it means to care for dogs with purpose. It isn’t simply about raising puppies, it’s about honoring the history of the breed, respecting the animals in your care, and always striving to do right by them.
That perspective has stayed with me through every step of this journey.
While many breeds have touched my life, it was the Golden Retriever who truly captured my heart.
There is something quietly special about a Golden. Their gentle eyes, steady presence, and natural devotion to their people create a kind of companionship that feels both joyful and deeply grounding.
When Golden Retrievers entered our home, their impact was immediate. They brought warmth, patience, and a quiet understanding that seemed to reach everyone in the family.
Over time, it became clear that this was the breed I wanted to dedicate my efforts to preserving and raising with care. Their temperament, their loyalty, and their remarkable ability to connect with people make them truly unique.
Goldens have a way of becoming part of the rhythm of a home, and once you experience that, it’s hard to imagine life without them.
At LMU Goldens, every decision begins with the well-being of the dogs themselves.
Our focus is on preserving the qualities that have made the Golden Retriever such a beloved companion for generations: a sound and balanced structure, a stable and gentle temperament, and a spirit that thrives in family life.
Each litter is planned thoughtfully and raised inside our home, where puppies experience the sounds, routines, and small everyday moments that help them grow into confident companions.
Learning is also an important part of this journey. Continued education in animal care and behavior helps guide our understanding of what dogs need in order to thrive.
The goal has always been simple: to raise Golden Retrievers who reflect the warmth, steadiness, and devotion this breed is known for.
Here’s how I’ve continued to grow and learn.
Caring for dogs has always been something I take to heart, and over time, that care has grown into a deeper commitment to learning.
Alongside raising my dogs, I have continued my education in animal care, behavior, training, and veterinary support. This has included studies in veterinary medicine, animal welfare, canine behavior, and practical care, each one helping me better understand the needs of the dogs in my home.
I have completed coursework and certifications through programs such as Alison, The University of Edinburgh, Duke University, and Zoetis, covering areas including veterinary assistance, dog training, animal behavior, and canine health.
I am also continuing my studies through Penn Foster’s Veterinary Technician program, further building on both knowledge and hands-on experience.
Each step in this process has shaped the way I raise my dogs, guiding decisions, strengthening understanding, and reinforcing the responsibility that comes with breeding.
Learning is not something that ever feels finished. It continues, just as the care for these dogs does, day by day.

Although LMU Goldens is a small breeding program, the dogs themselves are never just part of a plan or a project.
They are part of our family.
They share our days, our quiet evenings, and the small moments that make a house feel alive. They grow up surrounded by familiar voices, gentle hands, and the steady reassurance that comes from living close to the people who care for them.
Because of that, every puppy raised here begins life not in isolation, but in the heart of a home.
When one of our puppies leaves for their new family, a piece of that story continues with them. Watching those dogs grow into beloved companions in homes of their own is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do.
If you’ve taken the time to read our story, thank you for visiting and learning a little about the heart behind LMU Goldens.
Sharing life with dogs is a privilege, and the families who welcome one of our puppies into their homes become part of that extended story as well.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with people who appreciate the Golden Retriever as deeply as we do.
